Hedi Slimane Introduces a Younger, Sleeker, Saint Laurent for S/S 2013
Hedi Slimane transformed Dior Homme, and now he's transforming Yves Saint Laurent. First there was the name revision, to simply Saint Laurent, then there was the new website, and now that we've finally seen the clothing, it looks like he's changing that too. Hedi's influence is creating a more modern and stylized Saint Laurent. When was the last time one of your male fashion loving friends was wearing something YSL other than a t-shirt of a pair of sneakers? Well I'll bet that's going to change.
The collection is heavy on black with minimal details like accent zippers and buckles. Surprisingly there is also a wide range of geometric brass and sterling jewelry being introduced as well.
