EDM Mania Comes to NYC: Electric Zoo 2012
I remember when my friends in England first introduced me to dubstep music years ago. After 30 seconds of listening my brain wasn't sure how to process all of the womp noises that were coming out of the speakers and I turned it off. Now, almost 10 years later, the world can't seem to get enough of the synthesized noise of electronic dance music. With major festivals around the country earlier in the year like Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra, this weekend New York gets a last EDM hurrah for the summer with Electric Zoo.
Electric Zoo 2012 brings huge names in various electronic music sub- genres to Randall's Island in NYC for what is sure to be a sweaty, muddy mess filled with alcohol and people collapsing of heat exhaustion. Top DJs like David Guetta, Bingo Players and Skrillex will perform from Friday, August 31st through Saturday, September 2nd. Check out the lineup below. Tickets are still available
