Supreme x Vans Lampin Sneaker Release

When Supreme releases their seasonal Vans shoes, they tend to be a hit.  Past collaborations like the Andy Warhol inspired Campbell's Soup Half Cabs and the Comme des Garcons Authentics were huge hits.  This season, the floral PCL Vans were a home run, and while the world waits for the camo CDG Shirt Vans, Supreme will release the second pair of what will be a 3 Vans collaboration season- the Lampin.

What is the Vans Lampin?  You probably don't know for a reason- it's ugly.  In the darwinism of sneakerdom, silhouettes rise and fall.  The Vans we know today are classics that have survived the test of time.  The Vans Lampin is not.  A relic from the early 90's (during the same years that birthed Supreme itself, as well as brands like Bape and Neighborhood), the Lampin looks a lot like a pair of kicks that a 6 year old would rock on the jungle gym.  Or maybe a pair of shoes that your mom would have bought you at Payless. Needless to say these aren't for me.  But if you like what you see, the Supreme x Vans Lampin will release this Thursday in store and online.  But if retail price is over $100... it aint worth it.
